This antique Russian Imperial silver basket, crafted in Moscow in 1827, features a rectangular form with rounded corners raised on a stepped pedestal foot. The body is decorated with a repoussé frieze of blooming roses and foliage on a stippled ground, set above a lobed lower section. A distinctive swing handle spans the top, attached via sculptural hinges formed as paired birds, likely doves or swans. The interior retains a vermeil (gold wash) finish. The underside is fully hallmarked with the Moscow city mark (St. George), the 84 zolotnik standard, the maker's mark "МОЛЛЕ" (Johann Friedrich Molle), and the assayer's mark of Nikolay Dubrovin dated 1827. 84 zolotnik, vermeil, centerpiece, empire style, bonbonniere, Johann Molle, Nikolay Dubrovin, St George, 19th century silver, noble estate.
