An antique bronze-mounted glazed earthenware jardiniere by Zsolnay, a Hungarian manufacture established in 1853. Dated ca. 1880-1920s. Chinoiserie-style piece, footed body of bulbous square shape surmounted by a scrolling rim and fitted with expressive dragon-form side handles. The pot is decorated with polychrome floral ornaments. Combining Eastern-inspired motifs with European craftsmanship, this piece exemplifies the period’s fascination with Oriental aesthetics and would serve as a striking decorative accent in an interior setting.
