After the Ancient Roman marble sculpture titled Diana of Gabii, a statue of a woman in drapery traditionally attributed to the sculptor Praxiteles. It became part of the Borghese collection and is now conserved in the Louvre. Marked Reduction Mecanique A. Collas Brevete on the bottom. Mounted on a wooden pedestal. Achille Collas, 1795 to 1859, was a French engineer invented a machine named Reduction Mechanique that copied sculptures at a smaller scale, which popularized small sculptures and transformed the bronze industry. Grand Tour was the 17th to early 19th-century custom of a traditional trip through Europe, with Italy as a key destination, undertaken by upper-class young European men.
