An antique Imperial Russian silver vigil lamp - lampada, dating to the mid-to-late 19th century. The hanging liturgical fixture features a bulbous, ribbed lower body that rises to a waisted neck adorned with three applied, stylized winged motifs which serve as the anchor points for the suspension chains. The lamp is supported by three link chains connected to a domed, scalloped silver canopy (smoke shade). It is stamped on the rim with the Russian "84" zolotnik standard mark (indicating .875 silver purity) and an indistinct city mark, likely Moscow. The base terminates in a floral bud finial.
