An antique Russian Orthodox icon depicting the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem, a key narrative from the four canonical Gospels recounting Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem shortly before His crucifixion. This event is commemorated annually by Christians on Palm Sunday. The icon is executed in traditional mixed media egg tempera on a gesso and levkas ground on a wooden panel, with a handwritten Church Slavonic inscription in the upper left.
