Emmanuel Villanis (French, 1858–1914). Cast bronze sculpture. Crowned female bust. Titled "Favorite" on the base. Dated ca. 1900s. Signed "E. Villanis" on the side. Embossed mark of Societe des Bronzes de Paris and AP, 9669 marks on the side. Emmanuel Villanis was best known for his small-scale bronze statuettes that blended the styles of traditional Neoclassicism with the elegant lines of Art Nouveau. Villanis’s depictions of the female form frequently featured elements of mythology and floral adornments. The artist studied in Turin at the Accademia Albertina before settling in Paris in 1885. Overall good condition, consistent with age. The surface shows light wear, including minor scuffs. Missing small part on the top of the crown. No signs of restoration. Please refer to the photos. Sold as is..
